OUR STORY

Yesteryear
Hagerman's Corner School
Markham Township

Two centuries ago, the Young family donated this property for the Hagerman Corner School to be built in 1858. Destroyed in a fire in 1888, a new school was built the same year at a cost of $2,324.37. The first school master was Adam MacDonald and John Gibson Sr. served as Chairman of the first school board.

Our unique Piano Lounge occupies the original Hagerman Corner school room and the old school site continues to draw people together to enjoy individual and group festivities and to celebrate the special milestones of their lives.
